Lilo Bowman is a lecturer, author of Love Your Creative Space, and co-host of Material Chronicles, a textile travel-and-history docuseries for textile enthusiasts. She speaks and consults internationally on organizational strategies for creative makers, helping hobbyists and professionals build spaces that truly support the way they work.
Lilo currently serves as President of Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA), where she helps shape the direction of one of the world’s leading art-quilt organizations. She writes about studio organization for international publications, curates exhibitions, appears on podcasts, judges quilt shows, and teaches workshops focused on sustainable, adaptable creative spaces. For 18 years, she led The Quilt Show as Editor-in-Chief and Producer, guiding its creative vision and inspiring a global community of makers.
Raised in Germany and having lived on three continents as a military spouse, Lilo brings a global perspective to her work, shaped by a life immersed in travel, history, and material culture. Through her teaching, consulting, and Material Chronicles, she encourages makers to explore, create, and celebrate the stories embedded in the materials we use every day.
Lilo makes her home in Fort Worth, Texas.
